Rahman briefed Karunanidhi on one of his songs being nominated for Grammy this year. “I will be leaving for Los Angeles tonight to take part in Grammy proceedings,” the Oscar winner told the Chief Minister, we learn.
On hearing this, Karunanidhi said “all the best” to Rahman for winning Grammy honour. “I am hopeful that you would bring home Grammy award too,” the Chief Minister told the music composer.
Deputy Chief Minister M K Stalin, Karunanidhi’s wife Rajathi Ammal, daughter and Rajya Sabha member Kanimozhi and Sun Television Network chairman Kalanithi Maran were present during the meeting.
